Well people, the basketweave purple & red hat is now complete, and awaiting sewing up (yawns).I will check the pattern for the recommended sewing up as I have been backstiching for the last two and a half weeks - wonder what it will say...
Next I will be making another hat in Snowflake. I'm not looking forward to this as it's not supposed to be an easy yarn to knit with, but I'm curious...
I had a go at doing Barbie doll clothes the other day.I haven't worked with 4-ply before and the stitches were minute, when i dropped some I had to frog it...grr...that happened to two garments twice in the same day. Back to knittingpatterncentral I go, as the pattern i had told me to use press fasteners - far too fiddly for me!
see you later folks!

Your orange hat is ace! I love the yarn! What is it? I want to try snowflake for a wee bunny (argh so much to do), so let me know how you get on with it. It does look nice though!
Sorry I missed your long comment you left *sheepish*
Well done on losing 5 stones!! That's a brilliant acheivement! I've lost two myself and have another two to go as well!
You should try a beginners lace shawl or something? That way losing weight wouldn't affect how you wear it, (or if it's hung up you can just admire it!!) and the forum people would help you get through... *says she* (I'm starting forest canopy very soon and am starting to wonder what I've let myself in for!!)
Anyhow. Your hats are gorgeous, AND for a good cause! :D
